Me and my work
I combine pre-clinical laboratory work in the fields of anxiety and pain with a range of novel projects in educational neuroscience. The latter have included collaborative projects with LEAs to investigate the impact of mindsets in secondary school pupils as well as an ongoing project that combines undergraduate training in science communication with education research, which we refer to as BrainLab (http://www.nottingham.ac.uk/devnoci/public-engagement/outreach-project.aspx). BrainLab has been used to investigate, amongst other things, whether risk-based games can improve learning and memory in primary school pupils.
