What topics do you work on?
My work is focused on communicating the science of learning and education. My background is in cognitive neuroscience and Cognitive psychology, and my interests are in human learning and memory. Specifically, I’m interested in how processes of Encoding, Consolidation, Reconsolidation and Retrieval influence learning and long-term memory. I look at this topic from 3 points of view: neuroscience, cognitive science (e.g. testing effect and spacing effect) and learning in real classrooms (e.g. retrieval practice, distributed practice). My ultimate goal is to support teachers with getting and accurate information and in actual implementation (and possible evaluation).
